About The Role
The Manager of Banking & Reconciliation is responsible for the successful management of operational finance activities across all benefits products to ensure exceptional client and participant experiences. This role works with key stakeholders to deliver quality projects and outcomes within the specified timeline and defined scope. This position is responsible for process oversight and continuous improvement with an eye towards automation and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily oversight of payment and reimbursement activities to ensure timely processing for participants and clients
- Optimize processes from start to finish, including scoping, testing, training, and documenting changes requiring development resources
- Lead and guide the team, identifying skill gaps and coaching individuals for improvement
- Conduct root cause analysis and critical thinking exercises to address operational errors and enhance process efficiency
- Analyze and streamline daily processes for increased efficiencies and automation
- Manage stop payments, voids, ACH returns, and payment reissues
- Oversee daily and monthly funding activities, including deposits, reconciliations, premium transfers, and refunds
- Address escalated client or participant issues and communicate complications and resolutions to Leadership and Operations
- Recommend problem resolutions and process improvements based on client requirements and feedback
- Conduct timely reconciliation of client and participant accounts, as well as ThrivePass bank accounts
- Maintain process documentation for key financial functions and communicate updates to relevant departments
- Assist with client implementations for COBRA and Pre-tax setup
- Act as the Finance contact for new accounts
- Manage banking relationships related to FinOps banking accounts and escalate issues as needed
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Proven ability to lead and manage in a dynamic environment
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Experience in developing and improving processes related to banking and financial operations
- Track record of professional development for individuals and teams
- Knowledge of Third Party Administration regulatory requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Prior experience with accounting systems, preferably Quickbooks Online
- Self-motivated with strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills to meet deadlines and attention to detail for project direction.
Salary Offered
$85,000-$95,000/annually
